We are pleased to announce that Karol Hordziej, President of the Foundation for Visual Arts, has been chosen to serve as a member of the jury for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2013.

Hordziej will join an international panel of judges comprised of the artist Joan Fontcuberta; Andrea Holzherr, an exhibitions and cultural development manager at Magnum Photos; and Anne-Marie Beckmann, curator of the Art Collection Deutsche Börse.

The prestigious Deutsche Börse Photography Prize is awarded annually to a contemporary photographer, of any nationality, whose exhibition or publication was deemed by the jury to represent the most significant contribution to the photographic medium in Europe over the course of the previous year.

The winner of this year’s Deutsche Börse Photography Prize is the English conceptual artist John Stezaker, whose photographic collages were exhibited during the 2010 Krakow Photomonth Festival.
